Kate Gorman - Miss Wisconsin Homecoming

On Sunday July 22, Charlotte’s Bridal attended the homecoming celebration for our recently crowned Miss Wisconsin 2012 Kate Gorman. Kate is an Onalaska native and a graduate of UW-La Crosse. She won the crown while representing as Miss La Crosse/Oktoberfest. We had the honor and privilege to help Kate find the majority of her wardrobe for the Miss Wisconsin Pageant, which was held in Oshkosh, WI on June 16th. She looked stunning in her white, jersey, one-sleeved evening gown by Mac Duggal, taking home the evening gown award chosen by the judges. She also wore a flashy magenta dress from Precious Formals for her talent piece—a tap dance to “Rumor Has It” by Adele—and a Johnathan Kayne evening gown for a final production number.

Here is Kate with our very own Raeanna Johnson!  A former Miss Wisconsin!

During the homecoming, Kate spoke on how much she appreciates the community support she continues to receive and stated “it takes and army” for someone to achieve such success.  Kate is already working diligently on her platform Take a Healthy Bite out of Childhood Hunger, selling aprons with the program logo to raise funds for food pantries, collecting non-perishable food items, speaking publicly on the issue, and she plans to host cooking shows throughout Wisconsin to educate on cooking healthy and delicious meals. Most excitedly, Kate spoke on how thrilled she is to represent Wisconsin on the Miss America Stage. The pageant is held in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood, January 8th-12th.  She will be amazing and we look forward to helping her prepare her wardrobe in any way we can!
